Ministry of Water Resources and the People's Government of Hubei Province recently signed in Beijing an agreement build the Three Gorges University. The agreed to build mainly include: the development of the Three Gorges University, Ministry of Water Resources personnel training and scientific research into areas such as co-ordinating the overall planning considerations, will be incorporated into the Three Gorges University, Water science and technology innovation system; to encourage the building of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area of Three Gorges University, to declare the ecological environment reservoir immigrants, hydropower project construction and management of engineering and technology research centers and laboratories; to protect spending for schools, infrastructure funds and special subsidies, increased year by year of school inputs; to further enhance water services, Three Gorges University the power industry, services, local economic and social development of the capacity and standards.

It is understood that China Three Gorges University in Yichang, Hubei Province Hydropower capital has worked in the Three Gorges Project, Hubei Qingjiang River Basin hydropower development and construction of domestic and international large-scale hydropower projects to play an important role.
