Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan said in Beijing on the 11th Sino-Russian energy sector into a new stage of long-term strategic cooperation.

Wang Qishan on the 11th and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Sechin in Beijing, co-chaired the fifth meeting of Sino-Russian energy negotiators. Wang Qishan said at the start of the meeting this year, Sino-Russian energy cooperation has made a series of important results. In April the two sides signed an agreement on oil cooperation, in June the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the area of natural gas, China-Russia oil pipeline project progressing smoothly in the direction of Russian loans have also been implemented.

"This marks the two countries in the energy sector has entered a new phase of a long-term strategic cooperation." Wang said.

Wang Qishan expressed the hope that this meeting will comprehensively implement the consensus reached by leaders of the two countries to promote the Sino-Russian energy cooperation to achieve more practical results, for the upcoming 14th regular meeting between Chinese and Russian prime minister to prepare.
